Märklin H0 - 36629 - Electric locomotive (1) - Traxx E186, MFX with Full sound - NS Serial number 186 012-8 Electric locomotive series E 186 of the Dutch Railways (NS). As currently in use. Tested and working Digital MFX with full sound Headlights and taillights switch with direction of travel 4 axles driven With digital MFX decoder and extensive sound functions. Special motor, centrally installed. 4 cardan-driven axles. Anti-slip tires. With the direction-changing three-aspect front signal and two red taillights in conventional operation, digitally switchable. Front lights on locomotive side 2 and 1 individually digitally switchable. When the front light is switched off on both sides of the locomotive, both sides' double A lighting is active. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. 4 mechanically working roof contact pickups. Length over buffers 21.7 cm. The 160 km/h fast TRAXX movers of the series (E) 186 have not only conquered the high-speed line with the Dutch Railways (NS), but are also found in the higher-speed commuter service. For traffic on the Dutch high-speed line HSL-Zuid, the HVG trains V250 of AnsaldoBreda were originally planned. Instead, rented E 186s designed for 160 km/h had to step in, and from September 2009 were deployed on the Amsterdam – Schiphol – Rotterdam – Breda route according to the timetable. After the success, current timetables anticipate that all ICRm trains with PRIO cars in push-pull operation (one locomotive at each end of the train) will be driven with the E 186. To this end NS currently has 20 rented E 186s and about 30 units of the newly ordered E 186 001-045 at its disposal.
