Alla auktioner / Samtida Konst / Mart Signed (XX) - CONFORMITY KILLS (che guevara)
Gallery value: Original stencil works by Mart Signed, not prints, are offered through European galleries with indicative quotations generally ranging between 3,000 and 4,000 euros, testimony to the positioning and collecting interest achieved by the artist's work. Technique: Spray stencil and mixed media on materials recovered from the street, selected to preserve the identity and authenticity of the street art language. Dimensions: The indicated dimensions refer to the specific piece offered and should be considered approximate due to the irregular shape and perimeter of the fragment. Certificate of authenticity: Included and signed by the artist. Broken Wall Broken Wall stems from Mart Signed's exploration of the relationship between street art, matter, and urban memory. The project brings a fragment of the street's language into homes, galleries, and private collections, transforming a surface marked by time into a contemporary artwork. The wall is not just the support for the image, but becomes an integral part of the work. Its surface, the breaks, the traces of time, and the natural characteristics of the material preserve the link with the urban context from which street art originates. The fracture thus becomes an element of the artistic language: the boundary between the street and the exhibition space is broken and the urban fragment finds a new place. The work The work does not impose an answer, but leaves each observer free to find their own interpretation. The stencil is created directly on the support: this is not a print or a reproduction. The work depicted in the photographs is exactly what will be received by the collector. Materials and authenticity Materials recovered from the street are chosen to maintain the living relationship with the original language of street art. Marks, abrasions, surface variations, irregularities and natural imperfections are not defects, but elements belonging to the material's history and the artwork's identity. These characteristics are deliberately preserved and integrated into the creative process. The work is signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and delivered ready to hang. The frame is not included, unless otherwise indicated for the specific piece. Instagram and project participation The artwork’s journey can continue even after purchase. Collectors can share their work on Instagram by tagging @martsigned and using the hashtag #MartSigned. Works properly tagged may be reposted by the artist through their channels, showing the different destinations reached by the works and creating a direct connection between artist, collector, and the public. Periodically, special initiatives, raffles, or small street art giveaways may also be organized through social networks. Participation is optional and independent of the purchase of the work. Any terms and conditions will be communicated through the artist's official channels. The artist Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally. His works are part of private collections in numerous countries, and his artistic research develops around the concept "Where Are You Street Art?": bringing the language and material of the street into homes, galleries, private collections, and spaces traditionally far from the urban context. Over the years, Mart Signed has developed an international presence through collaborations and relationships with various art-world entities. His research connects street art, urban memory, recovered materials, and transformation of space. In 2023, Mart Signed also participated in a documentary dedicated to Banksy and street art culture. Shipping The work is shipped via specialized couriers managed by Mail Boxes Etc. Each piece is carefully packaged, protected, and insured, with particular attention to the more delicate parts and to the irregular shape of the support. Shipping includes full tracking from departure to delivery. In the case of a high volume of shipments, preparation and delivery may take a few additional days. For any shipping information, you can contact the artist directly through the platform. Edition and uniqueness Broken Wall comprises a limited series of 20 unique works. Each piece is created individually and no two copies can be identical. The shape of the support, the fracture, the surface, the marks, the imperfections, and the material characteristics naturally vary from piece to piece, making each item unrepeatable. The 20 works share the same artistic project and core concept, but each maintains its own physical and visual identity. They are therefore not 20 copies or reproductions of the same work, but 20 unique and different pieces, all belonging to the Broken Wall series. Each work is identified by a specific code printed on the certificate of authenticity.
