Maxime Blachere - Rolex Got Vandalised

ROLEX GOT VANDALIZED by the French contemporary artist BLACH (Maxime Blachère). A very colorful street art reinterpretation of the world of Swiss watchmaking and luxury. The work integrates numerous graffiti and visual references to different models and emblematic codes: Geneva, GMT, Oyster, Explorer, Gold, in an urban, pop universe, deliberately offbeat. The house Rolex traces its origins to 1905 in London, with the creation of Wilsdorf & Davis. The name Rolex was registered in 1908, before the brand moved to Geneva and became one of the major symbols of Swiss watchmaking. This artwork confronts the codes of luxury, watchmaking precision, and prestige with those of graffiti and street art.
