Medieval Silver Suspension rings. In excellent condition. (No reserve price)

A pair of authentic medieval silver temple rings/pendants. The Middle Ages, 12th–14th centuries AD. Temple rings are among the most poetic and enigmatic pieces of women’s jewelry from Ancient Rus’ and medieval Europe. In those times, they did more than just adorn a hairstyle or headdress; they served as protective amulets, reflected a family’s status, and were passed down as heirlooms from one generation to the next. The soft, matte luster of the silver preserves the warmth of the hands of craftsmen from centuries past, as well as the energy of the ages themselves. A classic open-ended design for temple rings, featuring distinctive, graceful "snail-like" coils at the ends. This detail—a hallmark of medieval jewelry—carries profound symbolism and embodies the aesthetic of the Northern or Slavic Middle Ages. Noble silver with a refined patina of age, which accentuates the deep texture of the metal and the traces of an ancient craftsman’s handiwork. Excellent condition for items of this age.
