MEDSAN - Princess Mononoke in the Snow (雪のもののけ姫) - UNIQUE WORK

ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this vertical format, Medsan places San, Princess Mononoke from Studio Ghibli, on the threshold of a mountain sanctuary buried under snow. We see her from behind, standing on a snowy ledge. Her red mask with pointed ears is turned toward the heights and the wind lifts her white fur cloak marked with red. In her right hand, a spear points toward the ground. In front of her, a large vermilion torii opens a sequence of smaller gateways that fade into the mist, along a stone staircase lined with lanterns capped with snow. Higher up, a temple with curved roofs clings to a rocky spur, beneath a white summit and a gray-blue sky. To the left, enormous cedar trunks frame the scene, and snowflakes fall over the landscape. In the upper right corner, a vertical cartouche bears もののけ姫 above a red wolf-headed seal. A border of blue waves and red motifs surrounds the image. All hold their breath as San steps onto the stairs. A quiet and luminous piece, ideal for adding a touch of wintry Japan to the interior of a Studio Ghibli collection enthusiast.
