Ancient oil painting on canvas – Romantic river landscape with gilded frame Fascinating oil painting on canvas from the late 19th / early 20th century, depicting a suggestive river landscape. The work is characterized by a romantic and bucolic atmosphere, with a composition that highlights sloping hills, clear water mirrors, rocks in the foreground, and dense tree vegetation. The warm tones and the treatment of light recall the great European academic landscape painting tradition. The painting is enriched by an important contemporaneous gilded frame in gold wood with relief decorations, adorned with classical palmette motifs and linear moldings that enhance the depth of the scene. Good overall condition, signs of natural aging that attest to its authenticity Measurements: 43 x 33 x 4 cm; weight 960 g Oil painting on canvas - Seascape with Boats in the Port - 20th Century with Gold Frame Splendid oil painting on canvas (or on stretched board) dating to the latter half of the 20th century, depicting a suggestive seascape with boats moored in the harbor. The work stands out for an impressionist/expressionist painting style, characterized by fluid and vibrant brushstrokes, able to capture the reflections of light on the water and the dense atmosphere of the sky. The painting is signed lower right by the author (signature visible in photo, difficult to interpret, attributable to a master of the 20th-century school). The piece is completed by an important gilded wooden frame with a light-colored fabric passe-partout and an inner silvered profile, which enhances its brightness and visual depth. Measurements: 46 x 41 x 4 cm; weight 1.8 kg Lot 5 Vintage Paintings - Original Signed and Dated Drawings (1950s) - Scenes and Landscapes Splendid lot of 5 vintage original paintings from the 1950s, perfect for collectors, art lovers, or to decorate spaces in retro and elegant style.
