Merkloos Graphoscope, Stereo kijker **Goed lezen** Enlarger

Lot Description: Antique Ebony Stereo-Graphoscope (c. 1900) Beautiful and stylish antique stereo-graphoscope, manufactured around the turn of the century (circa 1900). This classic drawing-room viewing device is finished in elegant black lacquered wood (ebonite-look) and adorned with refined, classical floral motifs and piping. The device combines two functions in one ingenious foldable design: the two smaller oculars at the bottom are intended for viewing stereo photographs (3D cards), while the large round lens above serves as a graphoscope to study ordinary photos or prints with added depth and detail. The card holder is easily adjustable in distance via the wooden sliding mechanism to determine the perfect focus. A beautiful historical collectible that remains fascinating both decoratively and functionally. Condition and notes: The object is in a lovely, authentic condition with the inevitable signs of aging that contribute to the character of this antique piece. Closures: The small metal clasps at the front and rear have partly broken off over the years. They still function adequately to close the cassette. Photos: The extensive photo report is expressly part of this description. Please examine the detail photos carefully for an accurate impression of the physical condition and specific features. Dimensions: 27 x 17 x 7.5 cm
