Meuble d'appui - Walnut, Bronze, Brass - Kidney-shaped

Condition: Overall good, with natural surface wear from time on the varnish, some light marks and small nicks on the edges and legs. The drawer and the structure are solid and stable. Some parts have been restored. Antiquity: Early 20th century (circa 1910–1920). Material: Wood and veneer of noble woods with geometric marquetry in parquetry and 3D cubes, brass pull handle and sabot fittings (claw-like brackets). Origin: Purchased in Spain (European origin). This exquisite occasional table adopts the elegant kidney-shaped silhouette, a classic French-rooted form that enjoyed a strong resurgence as a modern furniture piece during the 1920s and 1930s. Its main appeal lies in the extraordinary geometric marquetry work with Art Deco aesthetics: the upper and lower surfaces showcase a pattern of three-dimensional cubes that create a fascinating 3D optical illusion, while the drawer front features refined chevron veneer. The graceful curved legs terminate in brass sabots (claw-like fittings), a constructive detail that denotes quality and craftsmanship. An extremely versatile and decorative piece, ideal as a side table, nightstand, or telephone table. Dimensions: 71.5 × 54 × 30 cm Colors: Warm tones of natural wood, brown, ochre, gold-bronze.
