Old Luminoscope of French manufacture, probably from 1930–1950. Portable optical instrument designed for rapid examination and verification of documents, notably checks, signatures and other administrative papers. The original manual indicates its use in banks, administrations, laboratories, by experts, doctors, researchers and criminal police services. Chrome-plated metal body with a lens oriented at 90°, bearing the inscriptions “BREVETÉ – LUMINOSCOPE – MADE IN FRANCE – S.G.D.G.”. It is presented with its original case and its period manual.
