MiLo - Second Nature - XXL

MiLo (1976), Netherlands\. “Ember Circuit” An expressive abstract painting in which sweeping lines move across a richly layered field of red, burnt orange, ochre and muted pink\. Cream\-white loops and vivid orange trajectories intertwine with deeper crimson marks, creating a rhythmic interplay between the textured background and the gestures crossing its surface\. Scraped passages, scratched lines and scattered dark accents interrupt the warm colours, revealing glimpses of underlying layers\. Broad areas of paint give the composition weight, while the wandering lines introduce movement and openness\. Their irregular paths form an intuitive visual language, suggesting connections, interruptions and routes without a fixed destination\. The painting balances warmth and intensity with moments of lightness\. From a distance, the composition reads as a vibrant, interconnected whole; closer inspection reveals the contrasts in texture, colour and mark\-making\. The work can be displayed horizontally or vertically, in any orientation\. Each rotation brings different relationships into focus, allowing the collector to choose the composition that best suits their space\. About the Artist MiLo (Michiel Lodewijk Schepers, 1976) is a Dutch contemporary artist based in Amsterdam\. His abstract paintings explore the relationship between texture, gesture and composition\. Through layered acrylic paint, scratched and etched lines, and spontaneous marks, he creates tactile surfaces that invite both immediate visual engagement and closer exploration\.
