Work created using a contemporary mosaic technique composed of thousands of carefully assembled artworks from contemporary art. High-definition print on plexiglass (PMMA) 5 mm, glossy finish with visual depth and gallery effect. Entirely created without artificial intelligence: each composition is manually constructed, adjusted, and balanced by the artist. Description of the work: An absolute icon of pop art, Marilyn Monroe’s portrait reinterpreted by Andy Warhol in blue tones has left a lasting mark on the history of art and popular culture. With Monroe VS Funny Faces, this glamorous and iconic image is reinterpreted as a mosaic, composed exclusively of faces making silly faces. Each fragment captures an exaggerated, funny, or quirky expression, revealing spontaneous humanity, far from the smooth and idealized image of the star. When assembled, these grimaces recombine the mythical visage of Marilyn, creating a strong contrast between manufactured icon and raw expressions. Printed on plexiglass, the work gains depth, shine, and modernity, offering a decidedly contemporary and design-focused rendering, intended to elevate modern interiors. From a distance: the cold and instantly recognizable glamour of a pop icon. Up close: an explosion of expressions, between humor, mockery, and deconstruction of the image. Each piece is a signed and numbered artwork, produced in a limited edition, affirming its exclusivity and artistic scope.
