Mirror - Brass - Pysichè Mirror

Brass tilting table mirror dates predominantly to the period between the 1940s and the 1970s. This is a dressing mirror (also called a psyché) made of solid brass, stamped or cast, with ornamental scroll motifs; the foliate details on the crest and the twisted side pins strongly evoke the Baroque style or the eclectic traits of the late 19th century. The construction of this specific model is typical of decorative reproductions and of furnishings produced in mid-20th-century Europe.
