Montblanc - 112716 - Fountain pen

Montblanc Fountain Pen Great Characters Edition Andy Warhol Special Edition — (Ident. no. 112716) The Great Characters Edition Andy Warhol pays homage to one of the leading figures of Pop Art. With his striking works, Andy Warhol managed to break down the barriers between "high art" and "commercial art", turning the ordinary into the extraordinary and causing quite a stir. This pen captures his irreverent and colorful spirit in every detail. The complementary contrast between the precious cobalt blue resin of the body and the fine steel of the orange rings on the nib section and the front reflects the color variations that made the Campbell’s Soup Can series famous, depicted by Warhol in 1965, a motif reproduced also on the cap in fine steel. The clip design recreates the spatula used by the artist for screen printing, while the cap ring is embellished with Warhol’s signature engraving: a discreet and elegant homage to the hand that signed an era. The 14 kt gold nib, in Medium size, completes an object designed for both everyday writing and for the collection.
