A0000005844 MONTBLANC WRITERS EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN "CARLO COLLODI" (2011): We present at auction one of the most imaginative and coveted creations of the prestigious Montblanc Writers Edition collection. Launched in 2011 to pay homage to Carlo Collodi, the famous Italian author who brought to life the adventures of Pinocchio, this piece is a showcase of craftsmanship and visual storytelling. High Craft Design: Each element of the fountain pen tells a part of the story. The body in dark brown precious resin evokes the wood of the famous puppet, while the grooved cone in champagne gold nods to his unmistakable nose. The spectacular skeletonized cap is plated in champagne gold and features masterful cutouts that reveal the Fairy Godmother, the Cat, the Fox and the enormous Whale. The clip, with its screw design, recalls the joints of Pinocchio himself. The Nib and Exclusivity: Atop this writing jewel sits a handcrafted 18-karat solid gold nib, exquisitely engraved with the figure of the talking cricket, Pinocchio’s eternal conscience. This fountain pen is a strict Limited Edition, with this unit being number 05162 of 12000 manufactured worldwide, as attested by the engraving on the upper ring. Condition Report (Expert Review) Bidders are requested to carefully review the photo gallery to verify the pristine condition of the piece: Body and Cap: In exceptional condition. The resin maintains its deep original shine and the skeletonized metal shows no dents, wear, or loss of plating. Fittings: The articulated clip and the rings preserve a perfect mirror polish, with no scratches or scuffs. Writing (Mechanical): The internal piston filling mechanism rotates and operates with total smoothness. The 18K gold nib is impeccable, with the tines perfectly aligned and ready to write.
