Mythological figure in alabaster from the 18th century

Descriptio Carved alabaster. Dimensions: 23 cm x 13 cm x 11 cm. Sculpture of a reclining nude female figure, accompanied by a classically inspired sculptural support. The composition reflects the influence of mythological and academic models, with softly polished surfaces and an idealized treatment of anatomy, characteristic of 19th-century Italian decorative sculpture. 23 x 13 x 11 cm. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
