Alla auktioner / Etnografica / Natural Rose Quartz from Madagascar Large Carved...
Imposing pink quartz flame sculpture with silk-like luster — This extraordinary flame sculpture, made from precious natural pink quartz from Madagascar, catches the eye with its sinuous shapes and delicate pink hue. The piece has been skillfully carved to evoke the dynamic movement of a flame, with smooth, glossy surfaces that enhance the silky texture and intrinsic translucence of the mineral. Each curved line and polished edge contributes to creating a three-dimensional work of art that reflects light in a fascinating way, revealing the delicate color variations typical of pink quartz. Pink quartz is a microcrystalline quartz variety whose characteristic pale pink color owes to traces of titanium, iron, or manganese, or potentially to tiny inclusions of dumortierite or other fibrous minerals. Its formation occurs in pegmatitic and hydrothermal environments, where the slow cooling of silica-rich solutions allows quartz crystals to grow with these unique inclusions. Madagascar is globally renowned for the exceptional quality of its pink quartz deposits, often characterized by intense coloration and notable purity. This specimen is not only a striking decorative piece with a strong visual impact, but also a symbol of the deep geological connections that shape our planet. Its remarkable size makes it an ideal focal point for any mineral collection or as a distinctive element in interior decoration, imparting a touch of natural elegance and serenity. The harmonious fusion between the raw beauty of the mineral and the artisan’s craftsmanship makes this object particularly desirable. As a product of nature, small surface irregularities, internal inclusions, or color variations are to be considered an integral part of the mineral’s charm and authenticity. The specimen is presented in overall excellent condition, preserving its natural splendor. A piece of rare beauty that unites the enchantment of mineralogy with the art of sculpture, ideal for collectors and design enthusiasts.
