New Zealand - Flag - Red Ensign – Maritime Flag of New Zealand

A distinctive vintage New Zealand Red Ensign, the red maritime flag of New Zealand. This flag is based on the British Red Ensign and was officially adopted in 1903 for use by New Zealand merchant ships. The flag primarily served as a ensign for the New Zealand mercantile marine and was flown by commercial and civilian vessels. The red field with the Union Jack and the four white stars of the Southern Cross makes this flag instantly recognizable. This specimen has an authentic vintage look and is equipped with a traditional fitting with cord and metal hoist eyes, suitable for actual maritime use. The flag shows light signs of aging and wear, which contribute to its character and historical appearance. dimensions: 117x68CM
