The jewel depicts a delicate botanical twig characterized by finely finished shamrock leaves. It is a piece of high craftsmanship in artisanal goldsmithing, as demonstrated by the extraordinary proportion between size and weight and the technical details visible on the back: the structure is entirely repoussé hollowed out and finished with chasing, with edges struck to a box, a complex technique that allowed the jewelry to be incredibly light so as not to weigh down the vintage fabrics. Historical notes and symbolism: In the 19th century and during the Belle Époque, jewelry was strongly tied to the language of flowers (floriography). In that period, the shamrock motif was not just an ornamental element or a lucky charm, but carried a precise sentimental message.
