Vintage sterling silver ring from the Norwegian silver house David-Andersen, executed with a deep cobalt blue enamel band around it. The design is clean and simple: the ring has a full circumference width of about 4 mm, with the blue enamel lying as a continuous band between the silver edges. A typical Scandinavian design where color and form do most of the work. On the inside the ring is clearly marked with D-A, Norway, Sterling and 925S, the marks of David-Andersen. The enamel is generally still in good vintage condition, but shows local signs of wear. In one place there is a fine crack/damage in the enamel visible. This has been attempted to be captured as clearly as possible in the photos. The silver also shows normal superficial signs of wear appropriate for age and use.
