Style: Belle Époque influence, with a delicate openwork suspension above a circular diamond-set drop. Era: Circa 1920. Material: The pendant is made of 18K white and yellow gold (touchstone tested); the accompanying chain is silver. Diamonds: Four rose-cut diamonds. Rose-cut diamonds are traditionally described by number rather than by estimated weight, colour or clarity grades. Their varying and often irregular depth prevents reliable weight estimation while mounted, while formal colour and clarity grading is not customary in the trade for diamonds of this antique cutting style. All diamonds in this pendant were individually tested with the Magilabs' EXA Natural Diamond Detector and identified as natural diamonds.
