Set of five ancient cross pendants from Coptic Ethiopia (Amhara). Cross pendants have been worn as necklaces for as long as memory serves within Coptic communities, mainly by women. The cross pendants are crafted using the lost-wax method, making them unique pieces. These pendants come from the collection of a Dutch collector of Coptic artifacts and entered the collection in the 1970s.
