A substantial and rare collector-scale studio modernist statement pendant designed by Finnish master Karl Laine for Sten & Laine (Finnfeelings), cast in solid 925 sterling silver. The heavy, sculptural teardrop silhouette features Laine's iconic organic swirl geometry, juxtaposing silky smooth satin-brushed contoured planes against deep oxidized hollows and his distinctive vertically reeded bark-textured rim. Suspended within the open recess is a large raised collet holding a monumental, brilliantly faceted natural rock crystal (clear quartz) radiating fiery, icy light and luminous clarity. Designed with a seamlessly integrated hidden tunnel bail at the tapered crest, this bold piece showcases Nordic modernism at its finest.
