The antique Victorian ladies’ ring is crafted in rose gold 333 and is also clearly stamped accordingly; it has been professionally inspected by a master goldsmith, who confirms the details I have listed above. The ring is hand-worked and features in its head an oval, faceted lilac amethyst set in a millegriff setting. This amethyst is surrounded by a reeded decorative setting with an encircling cord edge. The ring shoulders are V-shaped and each bear a small garnet cabochon in a smooth setting. RG 54 = approx. 17.4 mm inner diameter of the ring band, ring head approx. 16.3 mm x 10.6 mm amethyst approx. 6.2 mm x 9.4 mm = approx. 1.50 ct. Antique goldsmith’s work from around 1900 in very nice, worn and well-preserved condition. The gold content of this lot is below the statutory fineness in some countries.
