NORTH AMERICAN SCHOOL. 20TH CENTURY. Figures in an architectural space, 2000

Descriptio Color photographic print. Dimensions: 35 × 28 cm. This artistic photograph depicts three human figures in an outdoor space defined by architectural structures with high walls and surfaces in ochre and pink tones. The figures, dressed in dark garments and with their heads covered by fabrics of different colors, are positioned at varying heights, creating a dynamic and somewhat theatrical composition. On the left, a figure with a light-colored scarf leans against a wall, while in the upper right, another figure with their head covered by a blue cloth extends one arm toward the wall. In the foreground, a third figure, wearing a yellow scarf, crouches by the base of the structure. Trees with bare branches and cables crisscrossing the sky introduce linear elements that contrast with the geometric solidity of the walls. The natural light, with its intense warm tones, casts pronounced shadows and accentuates the textures of the surfaces, generating an enigmatic atmosphere with cinematic resonances. His visual language shows affinities with the photography of William Eggleston (1939), especially in the expressive treatment of color and the transformation of everyday spaces into compositions of remarkable plastic intensity, as well as with certain approaches of Cindy Sherman (1954), due to the use of anonymous figures, elements of disguise, and seemingly staged situations that introduce a narrative dimension and visual ambiguity. These references constitute stylistic parallels and do not imply an attribution of authorship. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipment: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required.
