Ca. 600 BC - AD 200 > A Mixtec polychrome tripod bowl with a deep rounded well and three tapering supports. The reddish surface is painted with pale linear and geometric decoration. Mixtec and related Puebla-Tlaxcala polychrome ceramics use a vivid painted vocabulary comparable to that of pictorial manuscripts.
