The dial is black with a polished finish: light passes through it and it changes its depth with every wrist movement. The applied indices are all luminescent, as are the hands, for immediate reading even underwater and in the dark. The bezel insert is steel, not aluminum: it resists scratching, does not fade, and ages with the case rather than before the case. The dual matte and polished finish makes it legible in any light condition.
