Nuutajärvi-Notsjö - Kerttu Nurminen - Candleholder (3) - Glass

The Lampi candlesticks are among the most recognizable and beloved postmodern glass designs from Finland of the early 1990s. The design is a creation of the renowned glass artist Kerttu Nurminen. Her work is known for a refined color sensitivity and a harmonious combination of clean shapes with vibrant hues. These candlesticks are part of an exclusive Pro Arte line from 1993. Within this line Nuutajärvi and Iittala produced high‑quality art objects and tableware, which were handcrafted in limited editions or for short periods. Each candlestick is mouth-blown and hand-formed. The Lampi series included not only the wide candlestick but also slimmer variants. A hallmark of these hand‑formed candlesticks is the original signature engraved with a diamond-point pen on the underside of the base: "K. Nurminen Nuutajärvi". Dimensions: 24.5 x 4.2 cm dia; small chip on the upper rim 22.5 x 10.5 cm dia; 100% in order 19 x 7 cm dia; small chip at the foot Unfortunately there is a minimal chip on the foot of one candlestick and on the edge of another candlestick.
