o.Lelievre - Desk - Gilt bronze - Rare tampon blotter

Rare Art Nouveau Bronze Blotting Stamp – Signed O. Lelièvre Description: Selling a gorgeous vintage tilt blotter stamp for a desk, dating from the Art Nouveau era (early 20th century). This collectible piece is in elaborately worked bronze/bronze with superb floral relief patterns on the top plate. The sculpted handle depicts a draped face or a botanical composition typical of the period's stylistic movement. • Artist signature: The item is signed "O. Lelièvre" on the edge of the handle. This is Olivier Lelièvre (1869-1947), a famous French sculptor of the Art Nouveau period, whose high-quality works were notably published by the prestigious Paris house Susse Frères. • Condition: Good overall aesthetic condition with a beautiful antique patina. The curved wooden block is sound and solid. A notable detail for collectors: the burlap blotter fabric beneath the sole is original, still bearing traces of purple ink and its printed maker’s mark (slight wear from use in the center, preserved "as is"). • Detail: A small spacing washer was added under the handle over time to ensure perfect, stable tightening during use. The handle unscrews completely without issue. A very beautiful piece of desk art, ideal for a collector of antiques or writing objects. Fast and very careful shipping guaranteed.
