Very cute Obrük wedding Kelim in yastik size. ( 99 x55 cm/ 37 x 21,5 inch). Kelim by the Obrük tribe in Central Anatolia, North of Konya region. Most likely made as a wedding gift. Adorable abstract design showing a central flower gül with facing swans in every corner of the central field that would depict the couple getting together. A mix of natural brown and white sheep wool, some natural dyes and some early aniline colors. 3 rows of intact selfedges, finishes damaged, central field intact with no wear. A beautifull non commercial piece that can be seen as one of the last pieces of the Yorük tribes in Central Anatolia. Bought in the late 1980's in Konya, Turkey.
