Classic and sturdy typewriter Olympia model SM3 (produced 1953-1960), serial no. 1.017.663, 1957. In wonderful working condition, unrestored, fantastic how a 70-year-old machine looks, what quality was built then. Customized Dutch version with "ij" but without "f" (gulden) key, therefore three extra French keys: ç, é, and è. . Manufacturer: Olympia Werke A.G. in Wilhelmshaven, "Made in Germany - Western Zone" ! . In an original heavy and sturdy wooden carrying case/crate. Original brush (to sweep ink residues from the letters). . Dimensions of the machine: 34x34x15 cm Dimensions of the case: 40x40x17 cm . It is a family heirloom, purchased new at the time in Amersfoort. I suspect the case’s good condition is why there’s little dust. The ribbon needs to be renewed. Rubber parts are in good condition, but have become a bit stiffer with time. . Possibly also available for pickup in the Eindhoven area. . Olympia-Werke AG was an important German manufacturer of typewriters and other office equipment. Since the factory in Roffhausen near Wilhelmshaven closed in 1991, only the brand name remains. .
