Orange calcite with black tourmaline – 4 hand-polished...

This exceptional set of four hand-polished free-form pieces combines the warm, radiant glow of orange calcite with the striking dark inclusions of black tourmaline. The harmonious interplay of strong oranges and honey tones, light mineral areas, and deep black accents gives each individual form its own character. Together, the four pieces form a varied collection that captivates with its natural coloring and its unique markings. The orange calcite appears in different nuances, ranging from soft apricot through warm peach-orange to intense golden-orange tones. Depending on the light, the fine structures of the mineral come into especially striking relief, making the polished surfaces look lively. The changing color gradients and natural patterns ensure a varied optical effect, with no free-form exactly like another. The dark inclusions and mineral accents are particularly appealing, providing an exciting contrast to the warm orange. The black tourmaline makes distinctive highlights within the lighter rock and gives the pieces a strong, almost graphic drawing. On some free-forms, the dark areas are distributed in small, speckled inclusions across the surface, while others feature larger black and gray areas. This creates an interesting variety that makes the set especially attractive to collectors. The light cream to whitish areas also contribute to the special effect of this combination. They soften the intense coloration and create flowing transitions between the different mineral components. The natural distribution of colors and inclusions lends each free-form a unique appearance that reveals new details upon close inspection. The carefully worked shapes have softly rounded contours and a smooth, glossy surface. The free-form design beautifully highlights the natural patterning of the material without causing the pieces to lose their original mineral character. The different silhouettes and color distributions complement each other harmoniously, making the four-piece set a decorative unit with varied impact.
