Paco Pomet (1970) - In Law

« In Law » (2013) is a quintessential example of Paco Pomet’s distinctive figurative surrealism and sharp narrative irony. Rendered in a sophisticated monochrome blue palette, the composition depicts two gentlemen in early 20th-century attire engaged in an extended, elastic handshake. Pomet masterfully distorts reality, blending historical photographic aesthetics with subversive humor and subtle social criticism. Executed during a key period of the artist’s career, this original oil painting showcases Pomet’s impeccable technique, soft tonal gradations, and masterful handling of light and volume on canvas.
