Vintage metal-colored design candle holder from Denmark, model Sitting / Lightning Stairs by the Danish designer Verner Panton and produced in 1973 by the manufacturer Palette Design from Denmark. This version is from circa 1973–early 1980s. This tiered floor-standing candle holder is in excellent preserved condition with no discoloration and only minimal patina from age and use. This candle holder has never been used and is no longer in production, making it highly collectible. A must-have to own and an icon in the making. Dimensions: H 20 cm x L 20 cm x W 5 cm Weight: 1185 grams This used object with some patina of age and use will be securely packaged for safe shipping, sent by registered and insured mail. Verner Panton (1926-1998) studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He then studied under the iconic Danish designer Arne Jacobsen. After graduating, he founded his own architecture and design studio. Characteristic of Verner Panton’s work are the extravagant geometric shapes he creates and his use of strong, bright colors.
