Pallasite - Meteorite Ring - Sericho Pallasite Africa...

Pallasite meteorite ring, Sericho, Africa, sterling silver The Sericho meteorites, originating from Africa, stand out as remarkable specimens in the world of meteorites, especially for their classification as pallasites. Discovered in the deserts of Sudan, these meteorites boast a unique composition, characterized by a strikingly balanced arrangement of olivine crystals set in a iron-nickel matrix. Their origins trace back to the tumultuous boundary between the mantle and core of a differentiated asteroid or protoplanet, offering valuable insights into the early stages of planetary formation. The presence of olivine crystals within the Sericho meteorites provides scientists with a glimpse into the geological processes that once shaped these celestial bodies, shedding light on the dynamic forces at play during the infancy of the solar system. Through the study of these pallasitic marvels, researchers unveil the intricate history of planetary differentiation and the catastrophic events that have sculpted the celestial landscape, enriching our understanding of the deep mysteries of the universe. This exceptional ring is crafted using sterling silver with a slab of olivine-rich minerals embedded in the iron-nickel meteorite. The ring has an open shank, so a single size; it is adjustable.
