French silver plated commemorative trophy cup for the ocean liner SS Liberte, produced by Orfevrerie Apollo. The Art Deco style vessel features a tapered U-shaped bowl with a faint interior gold wash, supported by a short pedestal stem and a stepped circular foot. Two angular handles sweep upward from the bowl base to the rim. One side of the bowl is engraved in capital sans-serif letters reading PAQUEBOT LIBERTE. A maker mark appears on the lower exterior consisting of a rectangular stamp with the letter A, a central sunburst device, and the letter O. Adjacent is a square mark containing the numerals 84. Dimensions: 6"W x 7.5"H Provenance: Museum of Miami Collection, known for its extensive archives, manuscripts, and visual materials documenting the region's history.
