Pasquale Vuotto is an Italian contemporary painter and poet, born in Naples in 1958. He is particularly esteemed in the Neapolitan art scene for his ability to capture the soul of the marine landscapes of Campania. artistic path The early passion: He began painting at the age of just 10, driven by innate talent. Training: He took his first steps as a self-taught artist, guided by a strong creative instinct. Subsequently, to refine his technique, he attended the studios of masters D'Urso and Ciardo, achieving excellent technical maturity. Philosophy: Vuotto has never sought wealth or fame for its own sake in art, but rather a sense of deep personal and spiritual fulfillment. In his works, painting often merges with poetry, conveying a sense of meditation. Style and subjects The painting "from life": About 90% of his production is devoted to his beloved Naples and the nearby coastal areas. Since he was a boy he loves painting en plein air (from life). Themes: He is famous especially for his seascapes, fishing villages (such as Ischia, Pozzuoli, Sorrento and Positano), the small harbors and the iconic fishing boats moored, just like those visible [Pasquale Vuotto]. The criticism sometimes likens his chromatic sensitivity to that of the post-impressionists or the Macchiaioli. He uses oil colors to give extraordinary depth and a sense of movement to the water and sky, capturing particular times of the day such as dawns, sunsets or gloomy days. Recognitions: In addition to being a point of reference in Italian art galleries, his works have crossed national borders, being exhibited and collected abroad, particularly in the United States, in England and in Germany.
