Paul Valéry - Charmes - 1926

Paul Valéry — Charms — Gallimard, NRF, 1926. Newly revised edition of this poetry collection. Softcover edition, numbered 809, on Alfa paper. Feature: handwritten analytical notes have been stapled to the work. They pertain to several poems and to the composition of the collection. The author of these notes is not identified: they are not attributed to Paul Valéry. The original cover has yellowed and shows wear. The spine is worn, with small losses at the ends. Inside, the paper bears some signs of age. Overall it retains the charm of an old book that has lived, with this handwritten curiosity that gives it a special history.
