Peltro - Ashtray - Metal, Silverplated

This pewter lotus ashtray from Peltro Italy, a rare jewel of Spanish mid-century modern design, transcends its function and becomes a sculptural work of art. These stackable ashtrays, first made in the 1960s, were soon praised for their ingenious form – lotus petals unfolding in metal, a fusion of elegance and functionality. Today they are coveted icons of the mid-century modern era, admired by collectors and design connoisseurs. This piece tells its story through a subtle patina, gentle signs of use that whisper of long-vanished gatherings. Loved and cherished, it carries the aura of authenticity – not pristine, but full of soul. Its beauty remains intact, its charm has only grown with time. Holding a Peltro lotus ashtray is to hold a piece of design history in your hands. It belongs not only in a collection of vintage barware, but also as a statement of taste – an accent on a coffee table, a jewel in a carefully curated interior, a symbol of timeless style. A true collectible for those who regard design as art.
