Crystal-cut flacon in a gold mount, with its original case – 19th century Delicate perfume bottle in cut crystal with a geometric lozenge motif, resting on a faceted footed base. The neck is topped by a hinged cap finely chiseled in gold, decorated with raised relief motifs. The bottle is kept in its original black-leather-covered case, with a red silk and velvet-lined interior shaped to fit. This type of miniature bottle, refined and precious, was intended to be carried in a lady’s vanity set or used while traveling. • Period: 19th century (circa 1850-1880, Second Empire style) • Materials: cut crystal, gold mount and cap • Bottle dimensions: 10 cm x 4 cm Excellent overall condition considering age.
