PERU. South Peru. 8 Escudos, 1837-CUZCO BA. Cuzco Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details. Fr-92; KM-167; Onza-2081. "CONFEDERACION" variety. A nicely struck example of this elaborately detailed Peruvian issue. While some even circulation wear and light cleaning hairlines are evident, these are not major impediments to the coin's eye appeal. Attractive reddish tone with some remaining luster in the fields. Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
