Philips - FT930 Digital Synthesized AM/FM Stereo Tuner

The Philips FT 930 tuner (Series 900) is a renowned digital stereo tuner known for its reception sensitivity and ergonomic design. Technical features and functions • Three frequency bands: It covers the FM band (87.5 to 108 MHz), Medium Wave (MW) and Long Wave (LW). • Full RDS technology: Very advanced for the 1990s, it decodes RDS signals to display the station name in clear text, the program type (PTY), and the RDS Text (useful for reading the titles of the broadcast songs). • Memory capacity: It can store up to 40 preset stations, which can be manually named if the station does not transmit an RDS signal. • Ergonomics and dial: Its large front-panel rotary dial provides excellent inertia for hand navigation between frequencies or for quickly scrolling through memories. A 10-key numeric keypad also allows direct frequency entry. • Adjustable sensitivity: It offers two selectable antenna sensitivity settings (high/low) and a change of the IF bandwidth (narrow or wide) to clean up the signal from distant or crowded stations. • Clock and system timer: Integrated with a clock, it features a programmable timer capable of triggering power-on or automatic recording if the rest of your system is compatible. Connection and ESI integration As with the other components, it includes the ESI / Easy-Link protocol on the rear. If cascaded with your control cable to the FA 950 amplifier, it powers on automatically when you select the source "Tuner" on the amp.
