Philips Infraphil -plus medical infrared lamp – approx. 1950s Special, original Philips Infraphil infrared heat lamp, finished in cream/white, with a distinctive red glass infrared lamp and protective cage. Equipped with the original Philips logo, adjustable arm and round base. The Infraphil is among the well-known Dutch post-war design classics. The model is often attributed in vintage circles to the French designer Charlotte Perriand. This attribution is, however, not definitive: Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen notes that Perriand selected the Infraphil for the 1949 exhibition Formes Utiles, but she was not the designer.
