Lot of 39 Solid Silver Ingots "A Century of Automobile History" - Le Médaillier Franklin (925/1000) Description: Splendid partial lot consisting of 39 solid silver ingots belonging to the famous collection "A Century of Automobile History", issued from the mid-1970s by Le Médaillier Franklin (the French subsidiary of Franklin Mint). Each rectangular ingot is adorned on the front with a raised-relief depiction of a pioneering vintage car (including rare models such as De Dion-Bouton, etc.) with a satin finish on a mirror-polished background. On the back the vehicle name and the reference year are inscribed. * Material: First-Title Solid Silver (Argent 1er Titre) hallmarked on the edge. * Purity: Sterling Silver 925/1000 guaranteed. * Number of pieces: 39 ingots. * Indicative weight: about 66 grams per piece (total weight of the lot estimated at over 2.5 kg). * Condition: The ingots have been kept inside a frame for many years. They display a beautiful natural patina of time with some classic superficial sulfur oxidation spots, which attest to their authenticity and absence of aggressive chemical cleaning. No deep scratches evident. Tracked and fully insured shipping in professional protective packaging.
