Plover Root Head, Rowlings, Musquodoboit NS

Plover Root Head. Rowlings, Musquodoboit Nova Scotia. William Rowling's decoys are remarkable for their power in simplicity. This root head plover is a great example. The form is conveyed in its most basic shape. The carving is rough with no effort made to smooth-out the knife-marks. A truly unique style. Unmarked.
