A beautifully preserved vintage men's watch from the famous Swiss brand Pontiac, model Simpatico with model number 22900. This mechanical hand-wound watch dates from the 1960s and is in excellent working condition. The movement runs perfectly and the silver-colored dial with a sunburst texture and jet-black, applied Arabic numerals has remained particularly clean. The classic, round case is finely gold-plated and has a modest vintage diameter of 30 millimeters, excluding the crown. On the back there is a stainless steel snap-back that shows minimal signs of wear. What makes this lot even more interesting for collectors is the highly sought-after vintage strap combination. The watch is equipped with a legendary 18-millimeter-wide "Tropic Star" strap made of smooth, black vulcanized rubber with reference number 23218. This iconic, Switzerland-made sport band is fitted with an authentic and highly coveted vintage stainless steel Omega buckle. The buckle proudly bears the iconic Omega logo (Ω) on the outside and is on the inside provided with the original Swiss maker stamps and the text "Acier Inox Swiss". This immediately wearable piece, with its unique vintage strap and Omega buckle, represents a fantastic opportunity for lovers of pure Swiss watch history.
