The entire dress is built from horizontal tonal bands: matte wool‑blend strips alternating with smoother panels, each finished with visible topstitching and deliberately raw edges. The back panels are worked in silk, giving a subtle sheen that contrasts with the matte front. The effect is black on black texture, understated from the front and striking from behind. Concealed side zip.
