Thrilling edition of this technical work, passionate and richly illustrated, which explores the hunting universe through an in-depth study of breeds, behaviors, and uses of hunting dogs in the French context of the mid-20th century - R. de Kermadec, author specializing in rural sports and traditions, develops a detailed typology of hounds, pointers, retrievers, and pointing dogs, describing their origins, their specific aptitudes, their morphologies and temperaments, while stressing selection, training, and maintenance criteria adapted to each type of hunting — game for feather, fur, hunting in plains, woods or mountains - The text, at once didactic and imbued with a deep love for nature and hunting traditions, is accompanied by the precise and expressive illustrations by François Castellan, which bring to life the postures, hunting scenes and emblematic breeds such as the setter, the pointer, the Breton spaniel or the Griffon - R. de Kermadec, Docteur Herout, H.
