RARE PURPLE AMETHYST with SALMON-PINK ORTHOCLASE

From our selection of collectible minerals we offer a rare group of amethyst scepter crystals with orthoclase from Brandberg, Namibia. In addition, it features a striking association of amethyst crystals with intense violet color in a scepter growth, set on a matrix of orthoclase in the typical salmon-pink hue, with a clear color contrast and well-developed crystals on the matrix that increase its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact. The violet color of amethyst is due to traces of iron in the quartz crystal lattice, activated by natural radiation over millions of years. The “scepter” formation indicates crystallization occurred in two distinct phases, with a first thin crystal subsequently covered by a broader outer layer. The Brandberg area in Namibia is one of the world's most famous localities for sceptered amethysts, often associated with feldspars such as orthoclase. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also within the field of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight shade variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
