RAREST ORANGE IMPERIAL TOPAZ

From our selection of collectible minerals we offer a rare Topaz crystal originating from Thomas Range, Utah. Moreover, it is characterized by a gemmy crystal of intense orange color, with a shade reminiscent of the prized imperial topaz, set within a small quartz druse on a rhyolite matrix and noted as fluorescence, elements that increase its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. Topaz is an aluminum nesosilicate with formula Al2SiO4(F,OH)2 that crystallizes in the orthorhombic system; the orange-sherry coloration is linked to lattice defects (color centers) and, as often happens in this species, can fade with prolonged exposure to light. The Thomas Range area in Utah has been known since the 19th century for topaz crystals that form in small cavities within a rhyolitic rock originating from intense volcanic activity that occurred several million years ago. The more intense and gemmy tones, such as that of this small crystal, are sometimes associated with the precious imperial topaz, a variety traditionally linked to Brazilian deposits. This is an ideal specimen for mineralogical collections, display and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for very rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
