Rashidi Rubuni(1969 Livangula-) - Exotische Vogels

Rubuni grew up in southern Tanzania. In 1988 he moved to the coastal city Dar es Salaam to look for work. After a brief period he decided to follow his passion in painting. He wrote a letter to the Tinga-Tinga Arts to apply as an artist. He was taken into the collective and trained by Mzee Chimwanda, one of the most experienced masters. Thanks to this intensive apprenticeship, Rubuni quickly developed into a respected figure within this movement. The paintings and signatures are not verified/authenticated.
